  i remember at one point in my witness history going to an assembly and listening to the speaker request that the audience repeat some sort of agreement to be good or something.

  i can't remember exactly what it was but i found it disturbing to hear everyone just mindlessly agree.

  anyway i decided to rework the famous allegiance in the key of witness.. if you have your own rendition of such, please chime in!.

  Considering JW,s are, or at least considered by many, to be an American religion, I had better choose my words carefully. My answer would have to be an unequivical NO, anyone can be duped, irrespective of Race, Gender, Sexual orientation, Creed or class or Income. PRINCE is a prime example highly intelligent, gifted, Mega Rich. A few of my JW friends, you could possibly describe them as intelligent, have created million $ buisineses, They like being able to turn up at DA,s in a Porshe, with personalised number plates.

  I have met a few university graduates, all women, who were in DEE TWOOF, but detested the lack of status females had within the Org, who had to sit with gritted teeth while a window cleaner (destroyed) a talk, when if we had been in a meritocracy, the guy in the cheap suit should have been cleaning the toilets, while the Lowly Sister(with the degree) should have been teaching, benifitting all, SIGH

  Over here in UK, the banking sectors in Aus and Canada, are held up as examples of how banks should operate in terms of oversight and regulation, unfortunately we had light touch regulation, just like the States and as a consequence our banks have been over exposed to not only the American house price bubble, but also our own, and that of Ireland and to a lesser extent Spain.

  this is going a bit of topic but needs to be stated, because as Diamond rightly pointed out commodities are bought and sold in $, Saddam Hussain, was pushing OPEC (and having some succsses) in getting oil to be traded in Euros, Not only would this have undermined US prestige, but would have undermined the Dollar, and the US economy, and put preasure on other commodities markets to follow, large Corps like Haleburton, Boeing, not to mention the US banking system, were never going to allow thst to happen, I believe thats the real reason Iraq got invaded it was to prevent that scenario from developing, WE all trade with dictators, Saddam was seculor and hated religious fundementalists.   Lack of true friends as a Witness

  it was kind of a sad realization i had the other day that as a witness you are conditioned to not have friends.

  i realize that most of this fact is related to my own stupidity and arrogance.

  when i was in my teenage years i had a great group of friends that i ran around with.

  I did not become a JW until my late 20,s , by way of introduction I was invited to a games night, it consisted on boring purile card games etc, at the end of the evening i had won, i had most points, how happyfiyng NOT. I litteraly ran from the house to the nearest bar, and sunk 4 pints of Stella in record time, I have NEVER been so bored in my life, I am pretty sure others there felt the same, one girl a pioneer, would have shagged me on the spot, pity I was there with my girlfriend. The guy (and i use that term loosely) who organised the gig, tried to hit on my girlfriend because she was an actress, and he wrote corny JW plays, What a bunch of f----d up emotional, sexually repressed retards

  Another time I got invited to dinner by a baldy skinny bigmouth JW elder, I brought with me a really nice bottle of wine, his eyes lit up and he disapeared into the kitchen, he came back out clutching the cheapest shitty bottle of wine you have ever seen, telling us he was keeping that one for another time. He poured me a glass, i could not drink it, so i asked if he had anything else, (this was my subtle way of telling him to get his arse back into the kitchen and bring out my wine) that too failed, I then told him i would have to go and buy something alcoholic i could drink (hint number 2) He still looks at me blankly as i leave his house to purchase something drinkable, WTF, if i never socialise with anotyer JW it will be too soon.

  @ Diamond, What are your financial analysists making of the current foreclosure problems in the USA, with regard to economic growth and recovery in your country ? and do they have any further ramifications for us here in Europe,? Obama has been reported as saying confidence is returning to the US markets, how can that be when your economic growth is so dependent on your housing sector , and thats going down , What is the outlook for your average US citizen, are you dreading whats about to happen with Obamas new austerity package ?

  Hi Diamond, watched that Vid you posted I could not believe what I was watching, thankyou for bringing it to our attention, the USA are really in the shit, I had no idea just HOW bad the housing market was in the States, and the resultant knock on effects to the rest of your economy,HOW THE HELL was that level of corruption allowed nationwide ????? and why isnt Obama going after the banks the same way he demonized BP.ONE MILLION foreclosures every year, with no legal documentation ?????
